Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Salvador Castellano Vasquez
Salvador Castellano has been a Mechanical and Industrial Engineer for over 22 years and has worked in several different capacities. Salvador is currently the owner of Asesorias de Ingeniería which is a mid sized boutique refrigeration company in Chile and has been in business for over 5 years. He specializes in Ammonia Refrigeration for major industrial and commercial industries. He has worked for such companies as Nestle, Ariztia, Walmart, Mycom, and J.C.I.
He graduated from The Federico Santa Maria Technical University in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at the University he was a team member on the Handball teams, was Teachers Aid and worked a Part Time Teacher during his last 2 years at university. Also worked in a Fondef Project for the improvement of production of 3 companies working in the metal mechanic industry.
Prior to starting his own company, he worked for over 8 years for Ingefrio, starting out as a Project Engineer finalizing as the Project Manager. Salvador is looking to expand his operation in the next 5 years.
Salvador has been a major contributor and supporter of Hogar de Cristo, a Chilean public charity created by Saint Alberto Hurtado, a Jesuit priest, who was declared as saint by the Pope Benedict XVI in 2005. Currently, this foundation serves monthly more than 25,000 people in extreme poverty, in the more than 500 works throughout the country.
He also enjoys watching NBA basketball, NHL Hockey, and professional soccer. In his spare time, he likes to swims. He resides in Santiago, Chile.
