Biography
Salvador Castellano has been a Mechanical and Industrial Engineer for over 22 years and has worked in several different capacities. He graduated from The Federico Santa Maria Technical University in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and while at the University he was a team member on the Handball and Volleyball teams and also was a Teachers Aid and was a Part Time Teacher while in his last 2 years at school. Salvador is currently the owner of Asesorias de Ingenieria which is a mid sized boutique Refrigeration company in Chile and has been in effect for over 5 years and specializes in Ammonia Hydro Carbon Refrigeration for major industrial and commercial industries. He has worked for such companies as Nestle, Walmart, Mycom, and Johnson. Prior to starting his own company he worked for over 8 years for Ingefrio starting out as a Project Engineer for over 5 years and as a Project Manager for over 3 years. He is also a member of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration. Salvador is looking to expand his operation in the next 5 years. Salvador has been a major contributor and supporter of Hogar de Cristo Cristo which is a Chilean public charity created by Saint Alberto Hurtado, a Jesuit priest, in 1944. He was declared as saint by the Pope Benedict XVI in 2005. Currently, this foundation serves monthly more than 25,000 people in extreme poverty, in the more than 500 works throughout the country.
