Ulla Soerensen is the Principal Consultant for Mind Opener, a firm that specializes in relational teaching approaches bridging the gap between student’s new ways of learning and the way teachers are accustomed to teach. With over 23 years of experience in the academic field, Ulla is a seasoned teacher at the secondary school level, and experienced independent consultant on the curriculum and program development level.

In addition to her educational expertise, Ulla is highly knowledgeable in the area of communication and conflict management, having spent 8 year running a psychotherapeutic practice. Her broad background and skill set allow her to “think outside the box” and help revitalize the classroom approach merely through a new and easily adoptable mindset based on cutting edge neuroscientific knowledge. This mindset shift in accord with experiental ways of learning makes it easy for teachers to utilize their own existing practice and with less effort boost student engagement and learning.

Ulla earned a master's degree in Chemistry and Physics from Aarhus University, and quickly established herself as a rising talent in the educational field. She also holds a Diploma in the field of Strategy and Leadership.

Ulla resides in Denmark, and speaks fluent English and Danish. Outside of her professional endeavors, she is an impassioned mentor and continues to cultivate her scientific interests.
