Silvia Selene Garcia Torres is the owner and director of daycare center that focuses on children with special needs and developmental challenges. As a special education teacher fluent in English, French and Spanish, Silvia offers a warm and comprehensive welcome to all her students, and offers a kind and structured environment in which her students can grow and thrive.

Having gained her knowledge and expertise by not simply textbooks academics and the application of theory, Silvia has also learned much by working with her own special needs child, and finds that children of all ages and abilities offer much by which adults can learn about themselves and others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences from the University of Quebec in Montreal, and studied Psychology at the Universidad Continental. She is certified in Mental Health by the University of Quebec, and currently is working toward a Master of Education from the University of Quebec.

An impassioned advocate for educational reform and opportunity, Silvia would like to represent other children with special needs, and conducts educational outreach for children, family members and others in the community.
