Julia Barany has been in publishing since 1987, having started as owner, publisher/editor at Editora Mercuryo. For the last 10 years she has been the Owner/Publisher/Editor of Barany Editora, where she has published authors in several fields as self knowledge, integral health, parenting and spirituality, see website of www.baranyeditora.com.br. In addition to publishing, she worked in the Education sector where she was an English and Art Teacher at Escola Rudolf Steiner de São Paulo. Presently she is also teaching art for adults and is a psychoanalyst, helping victims of personality disordered people to recover. Her education includes undergraduate studies in English and Portuguese literature and languages at Universidade Federal de São Paulo, art and teaching at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado. She also went to Cleveland State University where she studied Literature and Philosophy. She is currently working towards her Master Degree in Transformational Psychology at the University of the Philosophical Research Society, and writing a book that is soon to be published. In addition to writing, she enjoys art, yoga, dancing and traveling in her spare time. She resides in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
