Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Mr. Gregory Prevatt
Gregory Prevatt has experienced a very successful career in Industrial Relations and mediation for more than 30 years. He began his career as a Labor Relations Officer working for the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union where he spent 15 years.
He then took up employment in Trinmar Ltd. In 1997, Which was incooperated into the Petroleum Company of Trinidad and Tobago (Petrotrin) in 2001. He was employed as Industrial Relations Officer and retired in 2013 as Head Industrial Relations. He has experience in all aspects of I.R and has a passion for mediation being a mediation coach with STITT FELD HANDY for the past 15 years. He is a certified mediator in civil and family mediation, and has being involved in the training of the local Judiciary, including the Chief Justice and DPP of Trinidad and Tobago.
He was the Chairman of the committee responsible for the establishment of the Petrotrin Mediation Center the first to be established in the work place in T&T.
He is the current Chairman of Community Peace Makers a Community based mediation group offering services to the public, without cost to the disputants.
He is well known for his passion and strategic approach to mediation and is an advocate for social dialogue, and uses the Barbados model as an example.
Mr. Prevatt's vision for the future is to continue in the development of industrial relations, mediation, Social Dialogue, and conflict management.
In addition to his diploma in Law (LPC) from Staffordshire University, and a LLB from the University of London, he is also currently completing an Internship for admittance to the Bar in Trinidad & Tobago.
He is also the founder and owner of Manatee Ortoire River Tours and Ranch House, and an executive member of the Guayaguayare Ortoire Mayaro Fishing Organisation (GOMFA).
