Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Kathleen Doerner
Kathleen Doerner is a Nurse Manager at the Lipson Cancer Institute at Rochester General Hospital, a recognized leader in the treatment of cancer and blood disorders and a clinical research affiliate of the noted Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. With more than 35 years of experience in the nursing profession, Kathleen’s career has been defined by her dedication to excellence in nursing care. For the Center, she oversees all clinical operations and manages staff development, patient care, and provides administrative leadership.
Having earned a Nursing degree from Niagara University in 1981, Kathleen spent 35 years as specializing in Oncology and Hospice care. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Oncology Nursing Society and the nursing sorority Sigma Theta Tau. The recipient of numerous awards throughout her career, Kathleen received the prestigious Healthcare Achievement Award from the Rochester Business Journal in 2014, and the Champions of Hope award from the Lipson Cancer Center in 2016.
Outside her professional endeavors, Kathleen is the President and of the Board of the Isaiah House, a hospice home located in Rochester.
