Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Hsingyuan Tsao, PhD

Dr. Hsingyuan Tsao is a distinguished pedagogy professor of Chinese Art History at Northeast Normal University (NENU), where she teaches postgraduate master and doctoral students working toward their PhDs. With more than 20 years of experience in her field, she is a recognized and celebrated expert, highly sought after and internationally published. NENU holds the distinction of being the first comprehensive university founded by the Communist Party in Northeast China in 1946.

In addition to her role as professor, Dr. Tsao also serves as Museum Deputy Director at the Qinghai Art Museum/Zhu Naizheng Museum. As a representative of the museum, she is often called upon to speak publicly at museums throughout the US, Europe and Asia.

Dr. Tsao holds a Ph.D. in History of Art from Stanford University, 1996. Her book, Xu Bing and Contemporary Chinese Art, was published by SUNY. A resident of Xining City, Qinghai, China, Dr. Tsao is a member of the AAMC and speaks English, Chinese and working proficiency of Japanese.
