Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Francesca McBride-Carter
Francesca McBride-Carter is the Director of Regulatory Compliance in Jacobs Life Sciences line of business, that supports the pharmabio industry. Jacobs is an international engineering/construction company. With over 29 years of experience working for Jacobs, Francesca is a key player in ensuring clients and design teams receive the support they need to meet international cGMP/cGTP requirements. Her role at Jacobs has taken her all over the world, including tenure in the United States, Ireland, United Kingdom and India.
After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Science at the University of Delaware in 1985, Francesca spent 4 years working as a Scientist specializing in medical products for the Du Pont Company. After becoming involved in research on a more full time basis, Francesca naturally progressed to a focus on regulations and compliance. She is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, for whom she was the Co-Chair of the Engineering (ISPE) Standards Benchmarking COP from 2010 to 2012. She has also served as Secretary of the Engineering Standards Benchmarking COP.
Francesca has both presented and published papers at conferences in the US, Ireland and Japan. Most recently she worked with hospitals and universities to design and startup new cell therapy facilities to help treat cancer. Francesca's goal is to build a stronger relationship with these cell therapy facilities to continue to advance cancer treatment opportunities. She lives near Philadelphia, United States, where in her spare time she enjoys reading and competes in triathlons alongside her husband and siblings.
