Fatima Jamil AlAlawi is the owner, founder and Manager of Sign a Memory, a Bahrain-based family run greeting card company that focuses on high quality greeting cards in Arabic and English that add a personal touch and a local flavor to capture memories and celebrate momentous life events in a truly meaningful way. Inspired by her own journey into motherhood, Fatima, discovered a niche in the market that was not being met, as she found it difficult to find high quality cards in Arabic. As the firm’s principal designer, Fatima personally designs each card with the care and attention, making each card individual, speaking “from the heart, to the heart.”

After completing her diploma at Ibn Khuldoon National School, Fatima enrolled in Richmond, The American International University in London, where she studied for two years before transferring to Waltham, Massachussets. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley College and spent 2 years as a Marketing Associate for Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay. She then returned to London to complete her master’s degree in Marketing Communications from the University of Westminster.

Prior to establishing Sign a Memory, Fatima was the Marketing Manager of Lightspeed Communications, and Executive Manager of CIIM Gulf. She also served as Executive Manager of Jade Consultancy and became Sales and Marketing Director of Life Telecom.

Outside of her rapidly expanding business, Fatima is a proud mother and active member of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society.
