Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Dr. Rogers Wod' Olobo Okot-Uma
Dr. Rogers Wod' Olobo Okot-Uma is an esteemed international mathematician, physicist and systems engineer based in London, United Kingdom. Currently, he is the Owner and Proprietor of The SFI Mobile Academy of Mathematics, Physics, ICT4D and Luuo Ethno-History, under auspices which, inter aliae, he mentors students on a one-to-one basis in mathematics and physics at the sixth form and degree levels. The Academy is part of an outward-looking organizational entity known as Studies Forum International (SFI), which comprises the SFI Academy, SFI Publishing and SFI Consulting.
With a background in profiling and international relations, Rogers decided to branch into formal systems. He earned his PhD from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, in the area of Improving International Relations Conferences Through Virtual Interactions: Embodying A Multi-Agent Z Specification. Rogers is a Chartered Physicist and Member of the Institute of Physics, and is a Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences (WAAS). In addition to his purely academic role under the auspices of The SFI Academy, Rogers works as an independent information technology and services professional, consulting and advising a broad range of clientele in, among others, the areas of ICT4D, Public Sector Informatics and Electronic Governance. In the pursuit of one of his academic interests, Rogers is currently working on a project entitled The Physics of the Physiology and Anatomy of the Human Body.
In addition to his teaching-mentoring, professional and consulting services, Rogers is a passionate writer in a broad variety of areas. He is strong in his convictions and works to increase the attention paid to ethnic history, particularly that of the Luuo culture and heritage. In preparation for release in the early part of 2017 is a deeply- and widely- researched body of work entitled The Luuo: Truly Out of the Nile – A synoptic Synthesis of the Nilotic Luuo History and the The Ethno-Historical Luuo Heritage of Barack Obama, a masterpiece that covers five millennia of Luuo origin, migration and settlement along the Nile valley. Rogers has been a founding member of a number of local committees and groups to support the welfare of others, and is active in helping younger generations of African ethnic origin discover and maintain and advance their African traditions and heritage.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Rogers is a dedicated family man, who enjoys spending time with his well over 13 grandchildren, who he describes as the second-generation members of the Jo ka Okot-Uma, or "the people of Okot-Uma".
