Joseph Seay is an Educational Consultant and the founder of JLS Educational Consulting, LLC. A specialist in educational administration and curriculum development, Joseph has been the principal consultant at his firm for more than a decade. For his clients, he specializes in the preparation and presentation of professional development seminars across various school districts.

In addition to founding his consultancy, Joseph most recently was the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Robert Hughes Charter School, where he served from 2007 to 2009.  His proven track record of educational leadership, contractual ability and staff development has demonstrated his proficiency as an academic leader and operational executive. Originally, he worked for 26 years in various positions with the United States Postal Service, which culminated in the role of Postmaster.

After earning an associates degree in Psychology and Liberal Arts from CUNY Hostos Community College, Joseph went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from City College of New York. He then completed a master's degree in Educational Psychology, Counseling and Rehabilitation Psychology from Columbia University Teachers College, before completing his doctorate in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction Certification from Rowan University. Joseph also served as a military officer in the Army National Guard and in the United States Army.

Joseph is a member of the NAACP, the Democratic Club, and the Goldsboro Military Retirees Club. He is very active in politics and community organizations dedicated to helping children. He credits his success to believing in himself, and understanding the importance of education.  When he's not working, Joseph enjoys fishing, politics and working with community organizations.
