Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Ayse Kudat, PhD
Ayse Kudat holds academic degrees in Economics and Social Anthropology from Oxford and Harvard Universities. She has completed post-doctoral work at MIT, as well as Executive Management studies at Stanford and INSEAD.
Dr. Kudat worked as the Director of the Social Science Research Center in Berlin, and taught in several Universities, including the Middle East Technical University. She has worked as a Manager in the United Nations as well as the World Bank for over 10 years each. Currently, she is the President of Social Assessment and works as an Applied Anthropologist, focusing on social safeguards for large scale public and private sector investments in key infrastructure sectors, including energy, transport and water.
A Harvard PhD with over 50 years of professional experience in applied social sciences, she has held management level jobs in the UN and in the World Bank. She has directed research in the Science Center in Berlin and held several academic positions. She has authored many development publications as well as books, a few include: Social Assessment for the Turkey Forest Sector Review, Social assessment of the Azerbaijan National Environmental Action Plan: a focus on community responses to the Caspian Sea environmental disaster, and Putting people's perspective into environmental action in Caspian Sea communities.
Ayse is currently retired but wishes to continue to provide assistance to underprivileged communities with benefits they deserve. She particularly wishes to work in wealth management for the elderly in rural areas.
In her spare time, Ayse enjoys ballroom dancing, reading and writing- both professionally and recreationally. She also donates regularly to the Kennedy Centre, Doctors without borders and Wildlife association WWF.
