Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Terry D. Burleson
Terry D. Burleson is Senior Vice President of Energy Services for Nalco Champion, an Ecolab company that provides safe, sustainable chemistry programs and services to the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry, refineries and petrochemical operations. With over 26 years of service to the company, he oversees the entirety of its downstream business, which operates across 160 countries.
After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University, Terry launched his career with Nalco Champion as an Upstream Technical Representative for West Texas. He has held various positions in sales, marketing and management across the years, and transferred in 2003 to Nalco Champion’s downstream sector, to lead their merger of water and process business units.
Terry has been presented with the ML100 Turnaround Award for overseeing a division transformation that resulted in a significant increase in Nalco’s share of the global downstream market. The merger is also credited with better serving the downstream customer base. He is known for his strong support of advanced automation and process modeling techniques, which help strengthen both the product and service, making Nalco Champion stand out from other industry leaders.
Terry resides in Houston, Texas, where his strong work ethic pairs with his high moral standards. A pillar of his community, outside of work he is a supporter of his local church.
