Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Stephen W. Shyn
Mr. Stephen W. Shyn is Managing Partner at Crossbridge in the United States, where he brings to bear extensive experience in financial markets, regulatory change, risk management, financial crime and data management. He successfully grew Crossbridge Consulting in the region where it enjoys a strong reputation amongst its banking clients. Mr. Shyn most previously served as Senior Vice President at HSBC where he held the roles of Regional Head of Risk, Operations, Global Banking and Security Services technology. Previous to that, he served as an Executive Director at m.a. partners before its acquisition by BAE Systems. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with both Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics. He started his career in financial services with Thomson Reuters Loan Pricing Corporation as an Analyst of Commercial and Middle Market Loans. Mr. Shyn moved on to Price Waterhouse LLP as a Senior Consultant for Risk Management, then served on CIBC’s risk management team as a Program Manager before becoming a First Vice President for Risk Management Systems at Bank One until its acquisition by JPMorganChase. He then returned to the now newly renamed PricewaterhouseCoopers as its Director of the Banking and Data Management Group.
In his spare time, Mr. Shyn supports the Resolution Project, a charity focused on entrepreneurship giving grants to young companies that change the world in a positive way.
