A leading expert in infrastructure asset management, Sandy Muir has been the owner and director of Odysseus-imc since 2005. Sandy and his team of specialists assist their clients in implementing his proven strategies to maximize the utility of infrastructure and thus, improve the quality of life of the communities he serves. Sandy provides training, audits, strategy development, business process reviews, due diligence, system evaluation, and implementation and plan development to a diverse range of clients including those in the fields of utilities, rail, health, ports and local governments.
Sandy's sought-after expertise comes from 33 years of experience in the field. After graduating from RMIT University in Melbourne with a degree in Civil Engineering, Sandy started as a graduate engineer at John Scroggie Consulting Engineers. Since then his standing in the world of asset management has only increased. He was a principal consultant at both GHD and AECOM, two of the world's premiere civil engineering firms. Today he stands as owner of his own accomplished organization.
Sandy's strategies and ideas have had a tremendous global impact. He was a principal author of several manuals that have been adopted internationally. In the International Infrastructure Management Manual, Sandy has provided the answers to the “how's” of infrastructure asset management. His contributions to the field have made lives around the world better, whether it's their rail commute, the parks they visit, or the way they get clean water.
