Petar Plemic is a Principal at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) and, as a Director of International Operations, leads the firm’s global operations.    

Mr. Plemic managed the Janney Technical Center at WJE from 2004 to 2013. As manager, he lead a WJE division that focuses on investigative research and physical and chemical testing to provide solutions related to construction materials and structural failures. Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Plemic worked as a structural engineer for the largest design-build company in former Yugoslavia from 1981 to 1989.  

Mr. Plemic earned a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Belgrade in 1982 and later a Masters in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1990. In 2003, Mr. Plemic earned his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Institute for FRP in Construction (IIFC), Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Petar enjoys tennis, reading, and skiing in his spare time, and he looks forward to networking with other business professionals, continuing in his journey of building new things.
