Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Milton Schachter
Mr. Milton Schachter is the Chief Executive Officer of AmeriWound, a national physician wound-care services company treating patients in long-term facilities.
Mr. Schachter began his career in healthcare administration at Methodist Healthcare as an Assistant Administrator responsible for directing special projects, including a hundred million dollars in construction and renovation. He next spent almost twenty years as COO, EVP, and CEO for Health First, Prudential Healthcare, and MedPartners before moving on to work as Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, AVP at Guardsmark, and President & CEO at Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland. Before leading AmeriWound, Mr. Schachter served as CEO of Summit Orthopedics and President of MJS Healthcare Management. During this period, he also served as Executive in Residence at LEK Consulting.
Based on his wide-ranging and in-depth industry experience, Mr. Schachter has won numerous awards for performance excellence, from Prudential Healthcare Best Practices Award for Creative High Tech Arrangements, Medical Facility Architectural Award for Clinical Operational Design from Healthcare Architecture, and Ernst &Young’s Small Business Leaders Awards in successive years. Mr. Schachter maintains multiple professional affiliations, including the Healthcare Association of New Jersey, the Ohio Health Care Association, and the California Association of Healthcare Facilities, and has been published in healthcare industry journals, authored a white paper, and was recently featured in American Healthcare Leader’s inaugural issue
Mr. Schachter is a graduate of Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. He received his Master of Public Administration in Healthcare Administration from New York University. Mr. Schachter has served on several boards of non-profit organizations dedicated to healthcare and Jewish heritage, including the Young Israel of Greater Cleveland, Baron Hirsch Synagogue, Margolin Hebrew Academy, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Memphis.
He currently serves on the boards of charities and professional associations.
