Safiatou Ba-D’Naw is a decisive senior executive and prominent finance professional. With over 30 years of experience in international development, she currently serves as a board member of Randgold Resources Limited, an international organization based in the UK specializing in gold mining and exploration. An expert in African economic development and energy issues, Safiatou is an ideal asset to Randgold Resources Limited, as an African focused gold mining and exploration company with listings in the London Stock Exchange (RRS) and NASDAQ (Gold).

Safiatou is a non-executive member of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee of Energy of Cameroon representing the Actis Equity Fund (56%) interest in the privately held electricity company owned jointly with the Government of Cameroon. Actis Equity Fund is a British Fund with numerous energy sector investments in Africa. She also serves as Executive Vice Chair of Niger Omega, a mining, oil and gas exploration and services company with offices in Nigeria and London. Additionally, she established and manages Alizes Consultants, an international business and financial firm.

Safiatou was educated in Côte d'Ivoire, France and the United States, holding an MBA from Harvard University, in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to assuming her current roles, Safiatou worked closely with the government of Cote D Côte D'Ivoire as Minister of Energy, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, Deputy Minister of Economics Infrastructure, and Junior Minister of Transportation with the United Nations. She is a member of Women Corporate Directors, and serves on the Board of the Global Foodbaking Network (GFN).

Safiatou resides in Potomac, Maryland, where when not engaged with work, she enjoys cooking, dance, and is an avid reader of books on personal development.
