Oliva Sanchez Garcia has served as the Director of Faculty and Professor of Actuarial Sciences for Anahuac University for 30 years, where she oversees the Actuarial Sciences curriculum for the University in addition to the Masters and Doctorate Actuarial Sciences programs. Given her dynamic presence, organizational skills, and unprecedented expertise in statistics, actuarial science, and business strategy, Oliva is a pillar of her department and a trusted mentor to her students.

After earning her Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Oliva began pursuing her PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies at Anahuac University. She is a member of the “Colegio Nacional de Actuarios” and the Mexican Association of Actuaries. Moving forward, Oliva hopes to leave academic administration and dedicate her focus to scientific research.

Oliva currently resides in Huixquilucan, Mexico where she enjoys spending time with her four children.  She is an avid reader of fiction and enjoys knitting in her spare time.
