Doctor Mary G. Gregg, MD, MHA is the Chief Medical Officer of Atlanta-based MagMutual, in which capacity she is also a Senior Vice President.  As her primary duty is to advise her executive peers at the company on patient safety matters, Doctor Gregg is the President of the MagMutual Patient Safety Institute as well, a unit within the medical malpractice insurance firm that is dedicated to promoting patient care and safety best practices based on systematic compilations of company and industry data.

Prior to her service at MagMutual, Doctor Gregg worked for practically two decades at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.  For the better part of a decade, she performed heart surgery at the University of Washington. The Seattle Veterans Affairs Hospital began its heart surgery program under her leadership.

Doctor Gregg graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She went on to attend the Washington University School of Medicine at St. Louis, and did her surgical residency at Yale University’s School of Medicine.  She earned her Master in Hospital Administration at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Outside of her medical, administrative, and educational duties, Doctor Gregg enjoys knitting, gardening, and regular exercise among many other hobbies.  She is married with two sons.
