Kathryn Freund is currently the Talent Manager of Kay & Black, specializing in recruiting in the marketing and advertising. Kathryn is a natural and unique creative, who formerly co-founded Amateur Person Apparel LLC, and managed a talented team of designers and creative at We Are Social. She has recruited some of the best talent in the advertising industry for award-winning agencies across the country.

Kathryn is passionate about design that is effective, simple, and makes people smile. Everything she puts on a page or a screen is for a reason. She is eager, enthusiastic, and passionate about emerging digital mediums for design, and is ready to tackle designs, social media or strategy project. Kathryn has always thrived in creativity and loves helping people grow in their talents.

A graduate of Fordham University with a double major in English and Visual Arts, Kathryn is a multi-faceted creative, entrepreneur and talent manager in the advertising, creative and e-commerce industries. In her free time, she is a member of the AIGA as well as Type Directors Club, and an active part of creative meetups throughout the technology and advertising communities in New York.

Kathryn says that the key to her success is to always maintain a positive attitude through the good times and bad and you will always make it. She also volunteers with the homeless in NYC and is currently designing her own T-Shirt Line, which she hopes to present to the major retail industry in the next few years. Her mission in everything she does is to make people smile— whether that be through the products she creates, the experiences she designs, or the life-changing opportunities she secures for her talent. Kathryn says you can't be successful by taking yourself too seriously, or without lending a hand or a laugh to someone who needs it most. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
