John Carlson the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Carlson Productions LLC, a boutique photography and media firm specializing in architectural, food product, commercial, automotive and corporate lifestyle imagery both in studio or on location. Established with his brother Jim in 1991, Carlson Productions is known for its hands-on and highly individualized attention to each project, establishing lasting business partnerships and relationships through exceptional attention to detail and customer service for their clientele.

John also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Photography at the College of Creative Studies, from where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), Association of Independent Architectural Photographers (AIAP) and the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM).

John and Jim look forward to the expansion of their photography studio and addition of staff as their business grows in corporate portraiture, lifestyle photography, and other advertising, industrial and architectural photography endeavors. He resides in Royal Oak, Michigan where he volunteers for his local church youth groups, helping to oversee mission trips. He also volunteers for the Boy Scouts of America.
