Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Jesus Eduardo Lopez
Jesus Eduardo Lopez is Commissioning Superintendent for AMEC Foster Wheeler, a British multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company headquartered in London. For AMEC, Jesus teams with local technical resources to convey a safe and reliable commissioning and start up process, turn over and close out of projects for the Oil & Gas and Refining industry. He has been in the oil and energy industry for over 25 years, taking on challenging projects with success.
Jesus has spoken several times at various events and conferences, including the Light Metals annual conference in the USA and participated in Germany before a multinational audience at the World Congress of Chemical Engineers.
Initially developing his career as process engineer in the bauxite refinery world reaching the position of General Manager for Operations, he is fond of his participation on the commissioning and starting-up one of the biggest hydrogen plants in the world.
He holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Process Management from the Universidad Nacional Experimental de Guayana, Venezuela.
Jesus has been successful in large part due to his ability to focus and produce results, as well as being a strong team leader.
He speaks fluent Spanish, English, and French, and in his spare time enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, and watching soccer. He currently resides in Castillo Grande Cartagena, Colombia but his permanent home in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela
