Ingrid Schreuel is a Dutch citizen who resides in Guatemala. Ingrid is a Consultant in Gender Mainstreaming and Rural Empowerment. She is also co-owner of the consultancy firm CODERSA dedicated to rural development, social inclusion and gender equality, sustainable management of natural resources, and climate change. Ingrid works to integrate social inclusion in climate change mitigation and adaptation, has ample experience with Community Forest Projects in several countries, and organizes training courses and conferences on gender equity and rural empowerment.

In November 2015, she received her PhD in Political Science and Sociology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (MSc. in 2008), as well as a master’s degree in Tropical Forestry at Wageningen Agricultural University.

Outside of work, Ingrid is member of the Dutch Royal Tropical Forestry Foundation and supports amongst others the World Wildlife Fund. She also enjoys diving, skiing, traveling and reading.
