Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Heather Park
Heather Park leads the Tax and Legal Quality, Risk and Regulation functions for Deloitte in Asia Pacific and Australia. Heather joined Deloitte Australia in 2000, in the National Tax Technical Group and was responsible for internal tax technical learning and knowledge management from 2000 to 2004. She established the quality and risk function within the tax services area, and in 2006 was admitted as Partner and Service Line Quality & Risk Leader. This role blends the experiences from her background as a lawyer, accountant, academic and mediator and requires that she sit on various Deloitte tax and legal global network committees. Heather is also a director of Cycling Victoria Incorporated and Chair of Cycling Australia's Ethics and Integrity Panel.
Heather graduated from Bond University with a Masters of Laws degree in Corporate Governance and Dispute Resolution in 1994. In 1987, Heather qualified as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, being awarded the Professional Year Student of the Year . She lectured at the Queensland University of Technology and University of Melbourne in tax, corporate and business law.
She has proudly been named one of the International Tax Review’s “Women in Tax Leaders Guide.” In her spare time, she enjoys doing her part through charity groups such as World Vision. She is a sports enthusiast, and at one time was the Deloitte legal liaison for the South Dragons pro basketball team. She resides in Melbourne, Australia.
