Flex and the City, a boutique Pilates and nutrition studio located in Cork City, Ireland celebrated its grand opening in January 2016. Co-Founded by Eating Psychology Coach and Holistic Nutritionist Miriam Byrne and Pilates Instructor Julette Jones, the studio is housed in a picturesque historic building and offers Reformer Pilates, barre classes, mind-body weight loss classes and personalized nutrition and lifestyle coaching.

In addition to the studio classes offered, private instruction and postnatal rehabilitation services are also provided.  Reformer Pilates classes are limited to 6 people to ensure high quality teaching and individual attention.

A programme of health & wellbeing seminars and workshops on topics such as osteoporosis, hormonal balance, natural ways of overcoming low energy levels, healing your relationship with food and building a positive body image are delivered by the Flex and the City team throughout the year.

Nourish and the City, which focuses on healthy eating and lifestyle change, is provided at the studio by nutritionist Miriam Byrne. A Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Member, Byrne stepped back from a successful career in corporate finance in her mid-30s to change paths, studying at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating in Colorado, Plant-Based Nutrition at Cornell University and furthering her expertise under the renowned health and wellness coach Dr. Arloski and highly regarded UK-based raw food coach Karen Knowler. Byrne’s unique skill-set sets Flex and the City apart from other studios in the area, by creating a comprehensive wellness studio that targets not just exercise and weight management, but seeks to eradicate emotional eating, chronic dieting and other unhealthy relationships with food.
