Dr. Christian Nwankwo has held the position of Medical Director for Capital Primary Care, Inc. for over 20 years. Eighty percent of Christian's job is patient care and the other twenty percent are administrative duties where he runs the day-to-day business of the medical practice.

In addition, Christian has been a clinical Assistant Professor at Howard University Medical School for over 17 years, and serves as the the Director of Medical Missions for the Chidume Medical Foundation. This foundation, which he helped to found, gives scholarships to students who are underprivileged so they are able to go to medical school as well as does medical missions. He loves to help others as he was helped toward his own journey.

Christian credits his success to his father, for influencing him to go into the medical field, as well as his mother who  brought him into the Church at an early age. .Christian served as an Anglican Church page boy until boarding school at the age of  twelve There, he joined the choir and continued his journey down the right path.

He attended University of Ibadan, earning his MB BS (MD) in Medicine,in 1980 and The Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Public Health in 1986. Christian is also involved with the American Medical Association (AMA), American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Montgomery County Medical Society of Maryland. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, music, and writing. He is fluent in both English and Igbo, and resides in Darnestown, Maryland.

In the near future Christian is looking forward to using his knowledge and experience in teaching  Diabetes, Hypertension and Coronary Artery Disease to write books and articles to help other people to further understand these diseases.  Christian is honored that his patients have put their trust and faith in him as their physician and some have been coming to him for their medical help for over 20 years.  In addition Christian is extremely proud of his three children, who are following in his footsteps and are studying medicine.
