Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Diana M. Johnson
Diana Johnson is the World Wide Program Manager for an internal certification program for IT Specialists in the global computer leader IBM. With over 40 years working in the world of information technology, she has experience in various industries, organizational change, management and corporate strategy. Responsible for guiding the creation of an IBM Development Lab in Australia, Diana first became involved in software product development with IBM in 1999. From small beginnings she grew the diverse Australian product development teams and gained the support of the IBM executives who approved the founding of a development lab in Australia.
In addition to completing a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) in Geography from the University of Nottingham, Diana received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Change Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management. She became the first female to be elected President of the Sydney Journalist Toastmasters Club and the first female to be Secretary for Toastmasters District 70. She is a published author in a book of inspirational stories and she continues to extend her outreach to help others, particularly women, experiencing challenges in life, through webinars and seminars.
Diana credits her success to persistence, a passion for her work, and her emotional resilience. She resides in Riverside, Tasmania, and hopes to connect with like-minded global business professionals to exchange knowledge and ideas in program management in the new Cognitive era.
