Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Brenda Rehaluk, MA, CCHL, CHE (Candidate)

Posted by Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni on November 10th, 2016.

Brenda Rehaluk is the organizational consultant and coach at Leadership Discovery. She founded the company in February 2016.  Her main role involves creating the framework, building the Leadership Discovery brand, networking with coaches, and developing leaders to improve and grow their company. She has been in the healthcare industry for more than 15 years. For the past five of those, she has served as the Clinical and Academic Department Manager, an executive leadership role, for the Calgary Zone and South Sector Alberta, prior to establishing Leadership Discovery.

She actually began her career in the corporate world, but her passion led her into hospital and healthcare where she could give her best to helping people. She brings expertise in developing high functioning teams, designing systems, and constructing infrastructures. She mentored and coached her managers and staff through change and lean initiatives, difficult human resource issues, and performance management. She brings a unique, balanced business background to a broad range of joint clinical and academic leadership assignments.

Brenda graduated with her Master of Arts in Leadership at Royal Roads University January 2016. She attained credits in Bachelor of Health Administration from Athabasca University in 2013. She became a certified independent coach, teacher, and speaker for the John Maxwell Team in 2015, and is a candidate to be a certified Canadian Health Executive.

She has been a member of HRIA, Canadian Medical Association, The Banff Centre, University of Calgary, and is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders. She has mentored and coached her managers and staff through company changes, lean initiatives, difficult human resource conundrums, and performance management.

Brenda bases her success on her ability to develop relationships, fostering the desire to build teams, and taking things from the start to the finish line. She authored International Oral Presentation – “The Nuts and Bolts of Integrating Health Technology Assessment in Care Pathways and Clinical Practice Guidelines” for the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) in April 2016; “Empowering Leader Conversations” and a white paper “Values and Behaviours, Guiding Principles, and High Performing Organizations” in February 2016. She has been a member of HRIA, Canadian Medical Association, The Banff Centre, University of Calgary, and Canadian College of Health Leaders. She has mentored and coached her managers and staff through company changes, lean initiatives, difficult human resource conundrums, and performance management.

Brenda is most proud of her education and developing the structure, systems, and processes for the new Clinical Department of Oncology for the South Sector of Alberta in 2009. In the next few years, she will establish her own global presence as a consultant with Values Technology Inc. and a JMT Certified Independent Coach, Trainer and Speaker, where she can continue to grow and make a difference. Brenda is seeking to network with like-minded professionals, share expertise and ideas, and establish a more personalized brand.

In her spare time, she enjoys riding motorcycles, golfing, reading, and travel. She resides in Alberto, Canada.
