Barbara Bungy was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Philadelphia Fight Community Health Centers in March 2016.

Over the past nine years, Barbara has been employed by Drexel University College of Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in several management positions including the Executive Director for the Center of the Urban Child, HIV Prevention Services Program Manager and the Director of Grant Funded Programs.

In May 2015, she completed a very intensive Executive MBA program at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business while simultaneously working full-time as the Director of Grant Funded Programs at the Dorothy Mann Center (DMC) for Pediatric and Adolescent HIV within St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

The DMC is a comprehensive primary and specialty HIV/AIDS care provider for HIV exposed newborns, HIV positive infants, children, adolescents and their affected families. Barbara provides leadership and administrative oversight in the development, strategic planning, and performance of all supportive care services including Medical Case Management Program, Mental Health & Family Therapy Services, Health Education and Risk Reduction Programs, HealthGPS™ and the Community & Healthcare Testing Program. She represents the DMC in the wider community; promotes the organization among consumers, supporters, community partners, sponsors, funders and grantees. In addition, she actively seeks funding opportunities, prepare proposals and monitors budgets.

A natural trailblazer with a passion for making a difference, Barbara has been working as a Program Director for nearly 9 years. She has been described as smart, enthusiastic, passionate and a dynamic leader.

In addition to her MBA from Drexel, she holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Dornsife School of Public Health Drexel University. Her Bachelor of Arts is in Psychology from Rowan University. Barbara volunteers as a Disaster Action Team First Responder for the American Red Cross – Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter (SEPA) and she enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as traveling, reading, music and the arts. She resides in South Jersey.
