Mr. Mike Jelinek is a Co-Founder of Reviews.com, which tests products and services, and Soda.com, the umbrella company that also manages other online lifestyle guides such as The Simple Dollar and Freshome.  He is in charge of growth for Soda, recruits talent for Reviews, and is an Editing Contributor at The Simple Dollar.  Mr. Jelinek has devoted almost half a decade working on these properties; most previously, he was an Editor with Stripes39, training and managing over forty freelance writers.

Mr. Jelinek is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Science.  He started his career as a Proprietary Day Trader at International Trading Group, handling risk management, independent research, and futures and currency trading.  Mr. Jelinek then started his own business, The Jelinek Group, consulting for local companies on all matters online – even developing websites and website content.  He next served as the Managing Editor of an online health-related publication of Agora Publishing, conducting interviews with industry experts, supervising the creative team, and administering creative control in addition to various other duties for just over two years before moving on to Stripes39.
