Mr. Kim Lawes is a Project Manager for John Holland, where he is responsible for inspections and maintenance on the Karara Mining Railway.  Mr. Lawes has well over three decades of industry experience as an engineer in management, coordinating site planning, supervising work teams, and ensuring safe and effective delivery of all project goals.  He has served in various capacities at John Holland, where he has spent the overwhelming vast majority of his career.  Previously, Mr. Lawes worked for Australian National Railways as an engineer for almost 15 years; throughout his career, Mr. Lawes has been responsible for successfully implementing construction and maintenance projects ranging from $2 million to $110 million in value.

Mr. Lawes is a graduate of the South Australian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.  He later received a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and Management from Deakin University, and went on to earn a Graduate Diploma in Municipal Engineering from the University of South Australia.

Mr. Lawes is a member of Engineers Australia and The Permanent Way Institution.
