Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Amanda Itzkoff, MD

Posted by Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni on December 21st, 2015.

While attending NYU’s School of Medicine, Dr. Amanda Itzkoff was inspired by the outstanding instruction she had received there to provide highly personalized care in her own private practice one day.  Over a decade later, with offices in Chelsea and Midtown Manhattan, Dr. Itzkoff is a highly regarded board-certified psychiatrist whose passion for her charges has earned her patients’ choice awards and other such public recognition through the years.  She custom-tailors time-honored Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modalities to each individual, and not simply resorting to prescribing medication for everyone.  Dr. Itzkoff treats all cases, including bipolar disorder, Adult ADHD, and issues related to substance abuse.  She is especially concerned about reproductive psychiatric care and the problems associated with pregnancy such as depression and various eating disorders.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Itzkoffis also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychopharmacology and Psychotherapy at Mount Sinai Medical Center.  She has been published widely in such outlets as The New York Times Magazine, The New York Observer, The New York Post, and The Huffington Post, and was a featured expert on Bill Carroll’s Toronto radio show.

Dr. Itzkoff graduated Co-Valedictorian of her class at Cornell, earning her Baccalaureate in Applied Economics.  She won top honors for Best Essay on Humanism in Medicine while attending New York University for her medical degree.  In her spare time, Dr. Itzkoff enjoys volunteering at the New York Public Library and the Parrish Art Museum.

Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Member Amanda Itzkoff, MD can be found on the Who’s Who Directory, where she is looking forward to networking with you.
