Biography

Larissa Marangoni is the Executive Director of Aprofe, which is a private non-profit organization that provides whole health and screening for women. It also has as a Clinic that specializes in Sexual and reproductive health. Although Apofe is a family business, Ms. Marangoni earned her role in the company after completing in 2006 a Master´s Degree in Public Health and before a Master’s Degree in Sculpture and Sociology from Syracuse University and also earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bennington College in Sculpture and German Language. Her family's company has been in business for 52 years. Larissa is very well known in her native home country of Ecuador for her artwork. Her sculptures can be seen in Museums, galleries, offices, public spaces and private spaces around the country. She also designed the landscape for the new Hospital that is being currently build in Guayaquil by the Social Security Institution. Larissa has also been featured in the news many times in different programs and interviews. She was the coordinator for the Ministry of Tourism in her city and was the Director of 7 museums. Larissa design a community center, that is part of Aprofe and developed a program for the elderly as well as kids. She also has a soft spot for animals and has four dogs of her own. Larissa is very hard working and is also a visionary. She looks to eventually get involved in politics. Larissa is successful because of her drive and passion for work. Her ability to set and reach goals keeps her motivated. She puts pressure on herself to succeed. Larissa understands the importance of taking a risk and sacrifice offer rewards that can be reaped. This explains her incredible work ethic. Larissa also recognizes the importance of giving to others creating opportunities and designing spaces for the well being. Her employees at her organization are very happy as Larissa understands the importance of good communication and relationships.
