Biography

Poonam Heryani aspires to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. She currently holds a Master of Science in Education with specialization in Teacher Leadership with Distinction from the Walden University. Currently Ms. Heryani is the Head of Academics at the ASPAM Indian International School. In her role she ensures a consistent and school wide focus on student achievement, using system and school data to monitor progress. Her previous educational roles that she held includes Principal, Vice Principal and Supervisor of a High School in Dubai, with over 27 years in the field Poonam is still discovering the wonders of this profession, Ms. Heryani is passionate and committed to the belief that every child can learn. As a dedicated practitioner in the field of innovative teaching and learning methodologies, Poonam implements her education and experience in concurrent with her leadership capabilities to acquire great insights in curriculum design, instruction and assessment, cultural differences, awareness and identity. Poonam’s interest and experience with new technologies has led her to develop and practice various teaching and learning resources. She has been associated with training teachers and school teams on various educational improvements programmed to enhance their understanding of pedagogies and strategic school improvement. Ms. Heryani has many publications in which she equips students with the tools they need for success. And is also, the proud recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award. Poonam still works hard to achieve her goals and aspirations. In joining the Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni, she wishes to strengthen her network and connect with dedicated likeminded professionals to exchange ideas and embark on new projects.
