Biography
Laurence E. Williams Sr. graduated from Armstrong State University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice in 1995. Laurence has over 46 years of professional experience. Retired as a command sergeant major from the military after 23 years back in 1989, and last role was a Police Sergeant, United States Pentagon Police, where he spent the last 3 years before he retired . Laurence started out in law enforcement with the Savannah, Georgia Police Department as a patrol officer. He advanced through the ranks and was promoted to patrol sergeant and eventually to detective sergeant with the tactical reaction and prevention unit which handled all vice activities. He was also a member of the SPD emergency reaction team (ERT) and their hostage negotiation squad. Laurence was prompted to get involved in the military as he came from a family of people in this arena. In the next few years Laurence will be enjoying his retirement. At this stage Laurence plans to continue to give back his areas of expertise where he can, be recognized for all he has done. Laurence bases his success on his mom and her work ethic she instilled 100%. Most proud of becoming a eagle scout, and graduating from Armstrong State University
