Biography

Priscilla Ramírez-Maroto is an accomplished supply chain and logistics administrator and educator with over 22 years of combined experience in both fields. For the past 16 years, she has been associated with her family's company, Grupo Tical, an asset-based 3PL service provider focused on logistics and supply chain that was founded in 1973, and currently serves as Assistant to the President. At Grupo Tical, Priscilla's key responsibilities involve overseeing the personal accounts of the company, the revision of general accounts, and following up with client accounts, as well as working with their freight company in Miami, handling HR, general management, and conducting logistics seminars. Priscilla graduated with a Master's in Education through the International Program of Framingham State University in 2003, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience at Boston University. Aside from their strong academic programs, she wanted to attend school in Boston because of the many universities located in such a vibrant city and the strong international flavor, so Priscilla eventually settled on BU. Originally, she started out as an educator and taught science for 6 years at American International School of Costa Rica and then at Pan-American School. Priscilla had always been interested in education and teaching, but when she started a family, she needed a more flexible schedule, so she worked half time. The key to her success is being a quick learner and very dedicated. Going forward, Priscilla will continue working at the company helping her dad who will be retiring, so that she take over at some point. Regarding her inclusion, she looks forward to enhancing her international networking and branding and gaining additional exposure for the Grupo Tical. Although Priscilla works a lot, she enjoys spending time with her two kids and also supports Christian Children's Fund and Fundavida in Costa Rica.
