Biography
José Andriguetto is currently a professor and consultant at Nuvital Nutrientes S.A., and has been teaching courses in veterinary medicine and animal science at Federal University of Paraná, in Brazil. Additionally, he is the owner of Ithaca Feed Solutions, where the main purpose is to help foreign companies enter the Latin American feed market while simultaneously providing support in identifying the right partner(s) in each country, getting products registered, performing university and field trials, conducting commercial team training in Portuguese and Spanish, and facilitating introduction to key clients. He wants to gain further international exposure and provide profitable support to colleagues willing to act in the Latin American market. José earned a B.S. in veterinary medicine and an M.S. in veterinary medicine 1989, both from Universidade Federal do Paraná and a Ph.D. in animal science, graduating with honors and in the top 10 percent of his class, from Cornell University Graduate School in 1995, earning two medals. Originally, he was drawn to this field while pursuing his bachelor’s, and by the time he was in his master’s program, he really solidified his interest in this area. He is an accomplished educator and veterinary consultant with more than 20 years of experience in his field. Overall, his main activity has been managing the family company, and his greatest accomplishment in this area was to increase its value 10 times over in 10 years, despite all sorts of crisis and conflicts during that time. José excels in leadership, managing conflict, and working together harmoniously with good communication in order to empower people and encourage responsibility through openness. The key to his success is his ability to apply his education and experience in the most effective way by bringing people together. He has a number of publications and product developments and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He fluently speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Going forward, José is keen to network both internationally and with fellow Cornellians, generating valuable business possibilities for all involved, while highlighting companies in the Latin American market.
