Biography

Michael S. Bowen is Teacher and Department Chair for the Wake County Public School System. He has over 26 years of experience in teaching, leadership, project management, operations, security, materials management, and human resources. His expertise lies in teaching, training and evaluation, military planning and operations, and fiscal management. He is thoroughly trained in interpersonal management skills and managing teams to support complex requirements. An award-winning graduate student, Michael earned his MA in Biology from Wake Forest University. With Top Secret, SCI clearance, Michael is an Army officer with varied assignments in current and future strategic military operations and planning in the areas of engineering, logistics, exercise design, development, execution and evaluation at various military organizations. He is affiliated with Military Officers Association of America, DSW, and Sigma XI. In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading, camping, and traveling.
